Artist’s notes: Calcified Forms comprise two inter-related constructions, both being derived from one set of material with no waste. Both constructions explore the interconnection of planes to create three-dimensional forms. Both enclose a calcite sphere, giving volumetric contrast against the multiple planes.  One form is suspended above the other, suggesting an escape of one from the other. Both turn slowly through air currents, and when spotlit changing coloured shadows and reflections from the forms are cast on the surrounding environment.
