Artist’s notes: A work in the series of the Constructive Aesthetic project. All three Intaglio works explore shallow ambiguous space through layered planes. Thin parallel lines create various tonal effects, enhanced by the addition of paint rubbed into the scribed lines.

This particular work - Intaglio Extended

 - is suspended from the ceiling and gently rotates through air currents, changing visual perceptions of the form. When spotlit, moving cast shadows  create a 'doubling' effect - extending the presence of the work.
