Artist’s notes:

Derived from a logarithmic spiral, this construction uses a limited palette of whites, contrasted by the richness of the brass elements. A solid plaster hemisphere provides a counterpoint to the transparent and translucent planes.  Although not originally conceived a such, there are unconscious references to musical forms - staves, strings, and of course rhythm.
