I have designed and delivered workshops / seminars for the development of research skills for academic staff.

Examples include:

• a workshop on practice-led inquiry through dialogue and drawing - Describing the Elephant, Liepaja University, Latvia, 2005

• a workshop on Expressing Research, Ulster University (RIAD), 2010

• a public lecture Visualizing Research: Reflective Practice and Pedagogy and staff seminar on reflective practice and pedagogy, Rhode Island School of Design, Providence, RI, USA, 2008

Also I have been an invited speaker for Effective Supervision, The Missenden Centre for the Development of Higher Education, 2007, and have mentored staff

individually in developing PhD supervisory competences.
